Pep spoke to the media ahead of another late match winner in which City trailed at the break.

City had to dig deep to secure another late win, making it three come-from-behind victories in three matches.

The manager was questioned on his side’s ability to stay focused in order to keep grinding out victories and Pep had these words to say.

“I would prefer a win before but the Premier League is the Premier League.

“We started good in first 10 mins of the game but we didn’t create and weren’t able to find right place and right position.

“We made some more quick attacks and excited our fans once we scored, which is important.

“At Southampton I didn’t think we could get the winner, but today I did.”

With United managing to stay in arms reach, Chelsea gaining points and Liverpool and Arsenal right in the mix, Guardiola knows that it’ll be a rocky road ahead!

“It will be a long long trip, opponents: United, Chelsea, Liverpool. United are making good results.

“Today there were more chances for us, we conceded few, we had some amazing passes, good rhythm, we were free behind the lines.”

Next up, it’s the Manchester Derby and regarding some controversial words from Paul Pogba prior to United’s kick off against Arsenal on Saturday, Guardiola had this to say.

“Hopefully we have no injuries. I’d like Paul to play against us because I like to face teams with best players possible. I’m sure he doesn’t want our players to be injured.”
