Pep Guardiola told journalists the Belgian playmaker is available for selection on Sunday, as is compatriot Vincent Kompany.

On Fernando, the manager explained it’s too early to confirm whether the 29-year-old would be involved at Goodison Park, but admitted he is hopeful of him taking part in Saturday’s training session.

Elsewhere, Guardiola expressed confidence in John Stones’ ability to perform on his return to Merseyside.

The young defender heads back to Everton for the first time since his summer move, with Pep telling the gathered media that the England international is strong enough to deal with the situation.
