Jen Beattie is convinced signing a new two-year contract with Manchester City Women is the best decision for her career.
The 26-year-old is delighted to have extended her stay at the Academy Stadium, which she believes will allow her to reach her best and win trophies.
As she confirmed the deal at the City Football Academy the defender told CityTV there was never any doubt in her mind as to where her future lay.
“I knew I always wanted to stay,” she explained.
“It’s obviously the best club in Britain and across Europe we managed to establish ourselves in the Champions League.
“We missed out in the Lyon games so that’s something I want to continue to be a part of. So, yeah, it was an easy one (decision to make).
“I feel like it was the best decision coming here and I have every faith that it will be the best decision to stay as well.
“Physically and mentally, here is where I need to be, to be at my best and play my best football.”
