Manchester City ended their pre-season tour of the US in style with a fine 3-0 victory over Tottenham.
Just days after beating Real Madrid 4-1 in LA, Pep Guardiola’s side were once again in irresistible form as they swept aside Tottenham with ease inside Nashville’s Nissan Stadium thanks to goals from John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz.
Afterwards, manager Pep Guardiola said: “I’m so happy for all of them involved. Of course, the results are good for confidence and the way we did it, our performance is good.
“I’m so satisfied especially in the last two games - no injuries, then we come back home, rest and prepare.
“Ederson has this quality, in the goal kicks when the opposition makes high pressing and it’s complicated now we have the chance to put the ball in the other box, and of course we have a little bit more space in the middle.”
