Manchester City manager sounds salute to new keeper after Real Madrid victory

Pep Guardiola said he was happy with City’s pre-season progress after their impressive 4-1 win over Real Madrid in Los Angeles.

Goals from Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz earned City a deserved success in their International Champions Cup clash.

But the manager was also impressed with an assured display from new goalkeeper Ederson who produced a string of marvellous saves in what was a fine individual performance.

And the boss also had words of praise for Kevin De Bruyne who also caught the eye with a fine all-round performance.
