Pep Guardiola says he was impressed with new signings Ederson and Kyle Walker during Manchester City’s defeat to Manchester United in Houston.
The two sides played out an emotional first derby on foreign soil, with United winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.
Guardiola says United’s superior fitness was the difference – but praised Ederson and Walker, both of whom only joined the Club in the current transfer window.
“Both Ederson and Kyle make outstanding performance,” he said. “The guys who came, are going to help us a lot.”
The City squad will now travel to LA and begin preparations for Wednesday’s game against Real Madrid.
