Hear from Man City’s latest recruit, Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, who will join the Club on July 1.

When asked why he decided on City Ederson said: “It was a mixture of different factors. The great team that City are... the fans are amazing, the football is amazing and I’ve always had a dream to play in the Premier League. Now I’m here.”

Ederson added: “Manchester City is a club that has grown a lot under Guardiola. They are investing in youth.

“So these were the factors that helped me take the decision to join this club.”

Ederson will become the Blues’ fourth Brazilian alongside Fernandinho, Fernando and Gabriel Jesus and is one of the brightest young goalkeeper prospects in world football.

Born Ederson Santana de Moraes, he began his career as a youth with São Paulo FC, spending two years before joining second tier Portuguese outfit Ribeirão in 2011.
