Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes Raheem Sterling can be even better despite the 22-year-old’s excellent season so far.
England winger Sterling has been directly involved in 28 goals so far in this campaign – scoring nine and assisting 19 – but Guardiola has called for him to keep improving.
“He’s playing a lot of games but it’s true about how many goals, chances and fouls he creates. Being aggressive without the ball and in the press he is so important. Still it’s the same case with Leroy. He has a lot of things to improve.”
“I would like if he could not believe that it’s already done and say ‘I’m good enough.’ He can be better.”
“Raz can be better. Believe me, especially in the simple things. He makes mistakes in the simple, easy things and when he is going to improve that…wow! He has to do the simple things because the dribbling, the scoring. He has these talents.”
