Pep Guardiola knows the importance of every game that the Blues will be involved in from here on out until the end of the season.

The Blues will travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday to take on a Sunderland side that sits in the bottom position of the Premier League but Pep knows it won’t be an easy task to walk away from the den of the Black Cats with three points.

“It’s far away from the first game in the Premier League. A new game. Tottenham and Liverpool were not able to win in Sunderland.”

Guardiola is alluding to our very first match of the 2016/7 season where we were able to defeat Sunderland in a 2-1 win at the Etihad. Realising that both Tottenham and Liverpool were not able to get three points against Sunderland, Guardiola knows just how difficult this fixture will be.

“Every game will be a final...every game will be tough until the end of the season,” he said.
