Kevin De Bruyne spoke to CityTV after the 5-0 win over Crystal Palace and the Belgian was delighted with City’s efforts in earning the three points.
However, he knows that the final three matches are also must wins if we want to end our season in the best possible position to push forward next year.
“I’m happy with the way things went this season I think we are better as a team than last year,” he said.
“We need to win our games, if we win our games, we’re going be in the top four, obviously win need to win our games but the winning part means more than the scoring part.
“I created a lot of chances, I created some shots on goal but I’ve been unlucky (this season)… Even if I scored half of them, people would view it differently.”
Speaking on his free kick that went agonisingly wide and caused the whole of the stadium to gasp, De Bruyne had this to say.
“I think my free kicks are good, it’s not easy to score free kicks but the accuracy is always there.
And he’s certainly correct about that accuracy because it was the Belgian that found Gabriel Jesus’ head for the fifth and final goal.
