Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he can fit Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus into the side.
The Blues boss tried pairing them as twin strikers in the draw with Middlesbrough last month and in the recent win over West Brom, he played Jesus in a withdrawn role in behind Aguero.
He says he can comfortably fit both players in the team, citing Jesus’ time in Brazil as evidence of his versatility.
“I don’t know if you saw the game against Middlesbrough but the way we played against Middlesbrough was completely different to the way we played there [v WBA],” he said ahead of City’s trip to Watford on Sunday.
“The game against West Brom, Jesus was not a winger winger winger, he was a little bit more inside, but just a little bit.
“Against Middlesbrough we played with two strikers. Gabriel in Brazil, when he was young, he always played in the sides, he just in the last period in Brazil and when he came here he played as a striker.
“I said from the beginning that both can play together.”
