Sergio Aguero dedicated his record-breaking 178th City goal to the fans.
The Argentine ace became the Club’s all-time record goalscorer, overtaking Eric Brook’s 78-year record, with a goal in the sensational 4-2 triumph at Napoli.
Speaking to CityTV after the game, the striker expressed his gratitude to the Blue faithful for their unwavering support since his arrival in 2011.
“Thank you!” he smiled. “Since I came here, I’ve had the support to help me every game.
“I hope to continue in the same way and I hope the fans continue to enjoy my performances every game.
“I’m very happy for them.
“I’m very happy for this moment and I’m very happy for my teammates. They help me every game as do the staff and the support of the fans, my family in Argentina and my friends.”
