Kevin De Bruyne has produced a series of stunning performances this season, and boss Pep Guardiola wants to help him to become even better.
The Belgian international played a huge part in five of City’s goals during their 7-2 victory over Stoke on Saturday, and will be preparing to face Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Guardiola believes that if a player wants to be the best they have to win titles, and the manager is keen to help the midfielder achieve that.
“If he wants to be the best you have to win titles,” Guardiola said on Monday’s press conference. “We are here to help him achieve that. But of course, he’s one of the best.
“He’s an amazing player, a humble guy, and all the team mates love him,” Guardiola explained.
“He wants to play every single game, he fights until the end.”
