Pep Guardiola spoke to the media after Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win against Wolves at the Etihad.

As City made it 12 wins on the trot at home to Wolves on Tuesday night at the Etihad, Pep made sure that everyone knew it was not an easy game to give us our twelfth victory.

“The first half we deserved to score one of two goals but the defended so well and we fought like as always.

“We knew we would have to work today and that it would be a tough tough game. They played so physical and defensively. They had three counter attacks and good chances but sometimes I prefer this kind of game. Football is not easy, everything is complicated.”

But for Pep, tonight was all about our keeper Claudio Bravo who made three brilliant saves during the 90 minutes of normal time and another three penalty saves during the shootout.

“Of course, today Claudio gave us the chance to go through and I am so happy with his performance. Now we understand just how difficult everything is in football.

“It was not easy, last season for him (Claudio) but he has a lot of experience and that’s why he deserved this performance today.

“He had an amazing welcoming in the dressing room after the match, we are all through to the next round because of him.”

Now City return their focus to the Premier League as the squad will travel to The Hawthorns to play West Brom this Saturday.

“From tomorrow, we have to try and be focused again for the Premier League.”

Let’s make it 13!
