Pep Guardiola is expecting a tough ‘battle’ as his side head to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

City last met Tony Pulis’ side back in September during their Carabao Cup clash away at West Brom and secured a 2-1 win over the Baggies.

Pep is prepared for a difficult test and has a lot of admiration for the opposition manager.

“I have a huge, huge respect - he’s a friend of mine - so I have a lot of respect for Tony,” Guardiola explained.

“What he does, what he has done I really respect so it makes it really complicated to go to West Brom.

“Tomorrow will be a big battle. I’ve said many times: I respect the way they do things, because what they do they do really well.

“We know and the players know how difficult it will be, last season we won 4-0 but one month ago, in the second half, they played much better than us.

“It is the Premier League - away- they have many players with a lot of experience.

“Two games before the international break - West Brom and Arsenal – it will be good to take the points.”
