New signing Nadia Nadim says she is honoured and humbled to have signed for Manchester City Women.
The Danish international striker will officially join the Club in January 2018, but as she finalised her move she revealed the excitement gave her a sleepless night.
A striker, Nadim, joins from Portland Thorns in the United States and is looking forward to testing herself in the Champions League with Nick Cushing’s outfit.
“This Club is doing so much for women’s football,” she said.
“They are a pioneer of the women’s game and I want to be a part of that.
“I know the Club has big ambitions - one of them being the Champions League - so it wasn’t a difficult choice for me.
“Portland was a fantastic experience for me, but now I want a new challenge. I wanted to come back to Europe and play in the Champions League.”
