Benjamin Mendy has given his reaction to Manchester City’s comprehensive 5-0 win over Liverpool.
The French defender chalked up his first assist during the victory when he laid on Leroy Sane‘s first and City’s fourth goal - and he revealed the strike was down to hard work on the training pitch.
Mendy said: “I’m very happy for Leroy. We have been trying this in training. Leroy has every quality of the top player and the second goal was magnificent.”

The 23-year-old has quickly adapted to life at City, becoming a popular member of the dressing room as well as impressing on the pitch.
He added: “I’m young, I’m at Manchester City, so I’m very happy.”
