The boss said at Friday’s pre-Watford press conference: “I was so happy working with that Club.

“Always I will be grateful to (Karl-Heinz) Rummenigge and Uli Hoeness, who gave me the opportunity to be trainer at one of the best clubs in the world. The reason I moved on is because I had the pleasure to come to England to train here.

“All the transfers we did there - it was always a commitment with the board - we had big meetings and after that they take decisions, I always agreed with the decisions.”
