Fernandinho has stated that City will fight right until the end against Liverpool to reach the next stage of the Champions League.
It’s been a painful week for the Blues, suffering a 3-0 defeat in the first leg at Anfield followed by a 3-2 derby loss on Saturday, but the Brazilian midfielder has promised to give his all at the Etihad.
City now prepare to host Jurgen Klopp’s side on Tuesday night, with the hope of a second leg comeback.
“Two defeats is not easy but it is happening at the best teams,” the 32-year-old said in the pre-match press conference. “You have to keep going because what we have done this season has been amazing and now we are so close to becoming champions and we want to go through in the Champions League.
“It won’t be easy but we want to fight for that. We will fight until the end.”
