Pep Guardiola says winning the Premier League would give him immense satisfaction, as he believes it is the toughest to conquer.
Victory over neighbours United on Saturday evening would clinch a third Premier League title for City and while the pre-match talk focuses on potential derby delight and an advantage over his counterpart Jose Mourinho, Guardiola asserts he is focused solely on the task at hand and the joy it would bring.
“For the fans to win against United, I understand how special it can be,” he told press.
“I want to feel (success) in the toughest league. The toughest league is this one and the most satisfaction would be (to lift the title) with what we have done in the Premier League, if we are able to win it.
“In the end, it is what we have done and the way we have played this season. The people who have come to the Etihad Stadium have enjoyed the way we have played.

“When I was a young boy, I saw Sir Alex Ferguson winning the big games and winning the title – that’s what I want to live with my guys and celebrate it.
“It is not the situation of Pep Guardiola v Jose Mourinho – in the end, that is not in the books. (Instead, it would be) in 2018, we were the best team in England and that is what I want to live.”
Guardiola also eased the pressure by reiterating City have time on our side in the bid to secure the title.
“We have six chances to win two games,” he continued. “It’s only one with a win tomorrow.
“We just have to think about what we have to do to win – control Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata, if he plays.
“From nothing, they create chances. They are so aggressive and good at what they do.
“We have to focus on what we have to do.”
