City defender Benjamin Mendy has spoken of his double delight after the Blues lifted the Community Shield with a 2-0 win over Chelsea.
Mendy completed his first 90 minutes in a City shirt since his knee injury early in the 2017/18 campaign and put in a powerful performance from left full-back.
Sergio Aguero’s double on the day - taking the Argentinian past the 200-goal mark for City - secured the silverware for City.
Mendy said: “We are so happy, and I’m so happy in my first game to play the full match and we start with a trophy so it’s perfect.”
