The defender, who played an integral role in the Blues’ unprecedented success, sat down with CityTV to discuss the upcoming season and the question on everyone’s lips: how can last year’s achievements be bettered?

Stones asserted City are always looking to raise the bar and says he expects improvement - both on a personal and collective level - for 2018/19.

The England star, fresh after representing his country at the World Cup, returned early from his summer break to feature in the Blues’ Community Shield clash with Chelsea, and produced an imperious display in the Premier League season opener at Arsenal.

In this exclusive interview, he shares his thoughts on the new season, his teammates’ hunger and the World Cup, and also reflects on his two years at the Club.
