Phil Foden outshines Pep Guardiola in terms of attacking prowess, according to the City boss!
Speaking in Friday’s press conference, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Huddersfield, the Catalan manager was as ever, full of praise for the Stockport-born Blue, who starred in the pre-season tour of the US and Community Shield victory over Chelsea.
However, Guardiola did insist he triumphs in the battle of defensive qualities!

Discussing Foden’s breakthrough into the senior squad, the boss declared: “I’m so delighted with the way he trains. He has the same chances as the other guys.
“I think for the players who come from the Academy straight into the first team, it is not easy - but with Phil, it’s different. I trust him a lot.
“I put him in the Champions League and Community Shield because he can do it.
“I was a better holding midfielder than Phil but he’s a better attacking midfielder than I was. Phil is a very strong, box-to-box player.
“This season, he’s stronger than last season so give him time. That won’t be a problem - he will grow and take power. He has quality to play with - that’s no doubt.”
