Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on his City squad after returning so swiftly after their World Cup duties...
A host of players returned to the CFA over recent weeks keen to make an appearance in the Community Shield against Chelsea last weekend.
When asked about creating such a brilliant culture among his players, Pep had nothing but praise for his side.
“It is a dream,” Guardiola said. “Winning helps us to win even more. The Community Shield was a final so we had to prepare like we would with any other final.
I have work a lot and they have to work too, and they showed it there.
“We will have bad moments and we will have to see how we work to overcome it. It’s hard and of course they know we work for them. The heat (during the Community Shield) was difficult but they were excellent and I’m so proud of them.”
