Eric Garcia admitted his Manchester City debut was an amazing experience after he helped the Blues reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

The 17-year-old Spanish defender was drafted in by manager Pep Guardiola and produced an assured display as City overcame Leicester 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out in the fifth round clash at the King Power Stadium after the sides had been tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

And in an exclusive interview with City TV, Garcia said it was a moment he would never forget.

“I still can’t believe it. It was amazing experience and I was really happy,” said the 17-year-old.

“All the squad helped me in the game and beforehand, especially the other central defenders like Nico, John, Vincent and Aymeric.

“I would prefer to win the normal way, but these games are very difficult. You cannot relax for a second because these teams are really good.”
