The Blues boss, who also revealed Gabriel Jesus is in contention while Raheem Sterling is doubtful with a hamstring injury, credited his side’s route to the final to the Chilean shot-stopper.

Although there have been calls for the impressive Ederson to return to the starting XI, Guardiola asserted his faith in Bravo.

“They have an opinion but I am a manager,” he stated.

“Put all the fans in front of me and they have opinion, which I respect a lot, but if it wasn’t for Claudio, we would not be in the final.

“He deserves to play the final. He will play.

“The locker room is more important. Without him, we would not be here.”
