Gabriel Jesus returned from almost two months out with injury against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final to help City lift silverware at Wembley.

The Brazilian striker came on after 77 minutes of City’s 3-0 win - and will now look to build his way back to full match sharpness as the season reaches its climax.

“I am happy!” he said. “Very happy to be able to wear this shirt and to win my first trophy with the club in this Stadium, I hope this is the first of many more.

I am well. I came in and ran for ten minutes, it was a lot but gradually as I get into the games, the more I train, that will help. I came back to full training only a week ago, so I’ll improve and get better physically.”
