Aymeric Laporte says Manchester City ‘have to win a title this season’ as he sat down with CityTV for his first interview since his arrival.
The young defender had his eye on silverware as he arrived at the City Football Academy to kick-off his Premier League career and also revealed that he feels his attributes are well suited to the style of play adopted by Pep Guardiola’s Blues.
“I think my build up play is quite important,” he explained. “And also my ability in the air, I’m quite good with my head.
“I always followed Pep when he was managing other clubs and I have always enjoyed it and have had the opportunity to meet him a few times, too.
“We both have a similar style of play, which is good.”
