Fabian Delph says he has the best work ethic in the Manchester City squad!
Speaking ahead of England’s World Cup opener against Tunisia on Monday, Delph praised the quality in the Blues ranks but believes he has excelled this season because of his attitude in training and games.
He praised the impact of Pep Guardiola and the rest of the backroom staff, who he says have worked closely with him to develop his game.
And he also revealed Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for the game against Tunisia in Volgograd on Monday is becoming ever clearer.
“We’ve worked on various different systems with various personnel,” he said.
“The team’s not guaranteed, there could be changes. But from the set-up that we’ve done, it’s pretty clear who’s going to be starting.”
