Oleksandr Zinchenko has reflected on City’s progression into the Uefa Champions League quarter-finals despite a 2-1 loss to FC Basel.

Gabriel Jesus gave City an early lead at the Etihad, but the Swiss side fought back with goals either side of the break to inflict our first home loss in 15 months.

However, despite the result on the night, Pep’s side has secured a spot firmly in the next stage of the competition with a 5-2 win on aggregate.

“It’s not the best game for us but the most important thing is that we go through [to the quarter finals],” Zinchenko explained following the match.

“I think this is the only positive for this night.

“But we have to look forward as we have a lot of games, and a lot in the Premier League and I think we can win two titles - why not?”
