Pep Guardiola “has a feeling” that Raheem Sterling can still improve next season despite an impressive array of statistics throughout the 2017/18 campaign.

This season, the England international has bagged 18 Premier League goals and set up 11, meaning he has contributed a vital statistic every 83 minutes.

But the boss eyes even more from Sterling…

“He’s had a fantastic season and hopefully can maintain that with his international side in the World Cup,” Pep stated when asked about Raheem’s improvement. “What I like the most is I have the feeling he can do better.

“The stats and numbers were top in terms of assists and goals and influencing in our attack.

“I think in terms of mentality and belief he will make a good step forward. But with football, next season he will start again from zero - but he is ready.”
