Pep Guardiola has stated that his squad’s work ethic makes him “so proud” following last season’s record-breaking title win, but has explained that he’s not thinking about securing back-to-back titles.
City travel to London Stadium to face West Ham in the Premier League this Saturday, with kick-off at 3pm.

The Blues have started their campaign strongly and are currently unbeaten in the league after registering 10 wins and two draws so far.
But as Pep’s side return from the international break, the boss believes it’s more important to focus on winning the upcoming game rather than winning the title once more.
“We have two points in front of second one and four in front of the next team,” Pep said in his press conference. “I don’t know how many points left.
“We are there. It’s important. Last season we got 100 points and got a lot of nice words about the team, club and organisation - but now we are there every day working hard and that is what I am proud of the most.
“The best start for Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham is this season and still we are there. At the end we continue that level and don’t win the title, we try to not have regrets. Mistakes can happen, the others are good. It’s the most competitive league in the world. But nothing will change my mind about my team.”
Guardiola also explained why he thinks his side could be even better than last season.
“Always I have the opinion the guys believe in the staff and the staff believe in players. The whole organisation believes in the path, when this happens, year after is better than year before.
“If you go into decline, that is the moment to change players or the manager. The guys who don’t play are uncomfortable.
“In some ways we are better than lasts season because we learn from our mistakes.
“The first game after international break is always difficult. We will see against West Ham.”
