The Blues exited the competition at the Round of 32 stage for the first time, as the Spanish outfit triumphed 2-0 at the Academy Stadium, after the two sides drew 1-1 in the away leg.
On a frustrating evening, Cushing lamented his side’s lack of intensity from the first whistle, but spoke highly of Tessa Wullaert, Caroline Weir, Lauren Hemp and Georgia Stanway.
