Pep Guardiola expressed his delight, following the news of Sergio Aguero’s contract extension.
The Argentina star penned an extension that will take him to 2021, ensuring the Blues’ all-time top scorer will have spent a decade with City when his new deal expires.
Previewing Saturday’s Premier League clash with Cardiff, Guardiola reflected on the fantastic news.
“Thank you to him for trusting in us,” the Catalan boss declared. “Players like him, such as Vincent Kompany and David Silva, decide (themselves) and they show commitment every day in training sessions.
“I appreciate it a lot so thank you. I am so happy that he can stay for ten years in the Club.”
