Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has hailed Claudio Bravo after the Chilean’s match-winning display against Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Bravo was superb throughout the 90 minutes, before denying Gini Wijnaldum in the shootout as City retained the trophy.
And De Bruyne, himself excellent, was full of admiration for his teammate.
“It’s incredible to have a goalkeeper there with so much experience,” he said. “He’s been unbelievable in preseason and he will keep Ederson on his toes.”
De Bruyne aslo described playing in the Community Shield as a ‘privilege’.
“I know people make fun of it, but it is a trophy,” he said. “The only reason you play in it is if you win the cup or the league.
“Not a lot of teams get the privilege to play in it.”
