Bernardo Silva believes that a Carabao Cup final triumph against Chelsea on Sunday could help inspire Manchester City to reach new heights for the remainder of the season.
The Blues will step out at Wembley looking to defend the trophy we won a year ago.
And with the Club also stIll involved in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League there is no lack of incentive for the Portuguese midfielder and his colleagues.
“It’s a special game and it will be a very big boost for the rest of the season if we can win the trophy,” said Bernardo.
“We want to keep going the same way we have in these last months and win this trophy for the fans and ourselves.”

City have an excellent recent record at Wembley and Bernardo says he and his team-mates relish playing there.
“The atmosphere and playing in one of the mythical stadiums in the world gives you a boost and confidence,” he added.
“We are all looking forward to it.”
