Pep Guardiola believes his side has “a lot of leaders” and is still the best team in Europe.

Guardiola‘s side will be keen to get straight back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday when they take on Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite the defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday night, the City boss remains confident in his players’ capabilities.

“I have a lot of leaders and people who make a step forward when the situation is not going well. but we have to do it again and again.

“I am not going to say a guy was shy on the pitch and does not talk too much.

“You have to talk, that has to come from inside. I met incredible players who don’t speak one word. But a lot of players speak a lot in the locker room.

“Everyone is like everyone. But say the team do not have personality, we can do more of course but I think we have it.”

Asked if he still believes that his City squad is the best side in Europe, Guardiola answered:

“I believe it. Definitely. I love them, I trust them, I say so many times. I believe it.”
