Pep Guardiola says Johan Cruyff has had a huge impact on his managerial career.
Cruyff acted as a coach and mentor to Guardiola during his time as a player at Barcelona and oversaw the Spaniard’s rise to prominence within the team as a 19-year-old.
During his time in charge, Cruyff led Barcelona to their first European Cup and four consecutive league titles.

Ahead of the Carabao Cup final with Chelsea on Sunday, Pep spoke of the mentality needed in cup finals and how Cruyff helped him with that side of the game.
“Mentality is always there, people say City have so much character and personality but I don’t know.
“When we drew in Monaco and were already qualified we still tried to score. The best way to play is to always look for another goal.
“In recent weeks the most important thing is that we are still fighting in all competitions.
“I learn a lot from Cruyff; the relationship with the media and make them believe that we are good and a nice club so that helped us a lot.
“You can’t win anything if you don’t believe we are strong enough to compete everwhere.”
