Pep Guardiola has stated the importance of taking risks as we head into our FA Cup fifth-round tie.
The Blues travel to Rodney Parade to take on Newport County on Saturday 16 February, kick-off at 5.30pm, and Pep has explained that he expects his side to take the game as seriously as any other.
When asked whether he would change his squad in order to reduce the risk of injury on the potentially difficult pitch conditions, Pep replied saying that wouldn’t be an option.

“You have to take risks,” Guardiola said. “The players have to play like it was any of our games we have played in past week and take it seriously.
“We want to go through.”
Guardiola went on to explain how our FA Cup meeting presents the perfect opportunity to prepare for our upcoming games.
After this weekend we look ahead to our Champions League away trip to Schalke before taking on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
When asked what he expects from his City side at Newport, the boss said: “The best performance from my team.
“When you want to play a final and have tough UCL game, the best way to prepare is to play good.
“In terms of set pieces and tough conditions then the game is the best way to prepare for the final and Champions League in Germany.”
