Nick Cushing says Manchester City’s achievement in reaching the Continental Cup final is proof positive of the team’s collective hunger to succeed.
The Blues booked our place in the showpiece event, where we will play either Arsenal or Manchester United, thanks to a superb 2-0 win away at Chelsea in Wednesday’s semi-final.
And with City also leading the FA Women’s Super League and through to the fifth round of the FA Women’s Cup, it means Cushing’s squad are striving for silverware on three fronts.

“If you look at the Continental Cup we’re there in the final but we haven’t won anything yet. Now we’ve now got to go that extra step and apply ourselves properly,” said the City manager.
“We’ve learnt (from last season) we’ve reviewed and reflected and we’re also really hungry. Our men’s team have been successful, and the women’s team also wants to be successful too.”
