A Sergio Aguero hat-trick helped City on their way to firing six past Chelsea in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium.
Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan were also amongst the goals in what was a merciless display from Pep Guardiola‘s side.
Aguero spoke to CityTV after the game to praise the all-round performance of his side.
“I think it might be one of the best performances of this team so it was a great game and an even better result.”
Aguero‘s hat-trick against Chelsea was his 15th in all competitions for City and his 11th in the Premier League putting him joint top of the Premier League hat-trick records charts with Alan Shearer.
“I am very happy for the hat-tricks and for breaking records, both in the Premier League and for the club.
“I try to keep those good memories and especially thanks to my team-mates for helping me in the game and what matters most in the end is us winning.
“What matters most to me is to try and finish the season in the best way and try to win some silverware.”
