Ederson is adamant that he’s improved under Pep Guardiola, and has given credit to his boss for allowing him to play with freedom in goal.

The Brazilian joined the Blues from Benfica in the summer of 2017 and has been an incredible addition to Pep’s side – picking up a League Cup and Premier League trophy in his first season in English football.
His calm nature on the ball and being as good with his feet as he is with his hands in front of goal have made Ederson a fan favourite, but our ‘keeper has put that down to Pep’s influence.
“I’ve improved a lot,” Ederson explained. “Pep gives me the confidence to play.
“I have made mistakes which allowed a goal, but I haven’t allowed this to affect me.
“The freedom and confidence from Pep give helps me a lot and I adapted quite fast to his style - not just me, but all the team!”
