Leroy Sane has stressed the importance Fernandinho‘s role in the City squad.
After missing a number of games in December, the Brazilian has returned in fine form, playing a key role in City’s exhilarating 2-1 win over Liverpool.
Superb strikes from Sergio Aguero and Sane saw the Blues take three points from their first fixture of 2019, but it was Ferna’s display which caught Leroy’s eye.

“Everyone knows Fernandinho is important for us,” Sane explained after the win.
“He has to defend the ball, win the ball, pass the ball!
“He had amazing game and I’m so pleased he is back for us.”
