As the Blues continue to triumph in all four competitions, the City boss explained that he admires his players for playing every three days while maintaining a strong physical and mental attitude.
Speaking after our 5-0 thumping of Burnley, Pep said: “I’m happy for win but sad for the guys who don’t play.
“It means club works very well, as we have incredible players.
“It’s not just on one or two occasions but to be consistent every three days – that’s what I respect and admire the most.”
City’s emphatic 5-0 win over Burnley means the Blues are fighting for silverware on four fronts, but the Catalan says he doesn’t want to jinx his team’s chances of winning any or all of the trophies being competed for.
“Every time I comment on the chances of winning a cup, we lose the competition!” smiled Pep.
“The important thing is its end of January we are still there. Who are the best clubs in last 10 years? Juventus, Bayern and Barcelona, because every year they win the cups and every year they are the best.
“The best teams have to imitate those three teams.”
