Pep Guardiola has hailed the special qualities of City teenager Phil Foden.
Addressing the media, together with Foden, ahead of our 2019 final Asia Tour match against Yokohama F Marinos, the City manager was effusive in his praise regarding the attacking midfielder.
Having joined the tour squad in Hong Kong, Foden came on as a substitute in the midweek clash against Kitchee SC where City ran out 6-1 victors.
And asked by the media about the 19-year-old’s development, Pep said he and his coaching staff were determined to continue helping the England Under-21 international to develop and prosper.

“I said many times in press conferences, but maybe not in front of him. He is the most talented player I have ever seen (for his age),” said Guardiola.
“His problem is sometimes his manager doesn’t put him in the starting XI.
“He deserves all the minutes but with his competitors it isn’t easy. He works incredibly. He knows I’m here to help him and I am pretty sure we will get it.”
