The German clocked his 100th appearance in a City shirt in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth, as Mahrez struck in the second half to move the Blues back top of the Premier League table.
Speaking to CityTV after his match-winning display, the Algerian was full of praise for his counterpart.

“He’s a very good guy,” Mahrez declared. “We played very good and I’m very happy for him.
“Hopefully, he will have many more matches here.”
