Ellie Roebuck says it was an easy decision to extend her contract with Manchester City as she hailed the influence of fellow goalkeeper, Karen Bardsley.
The young shot-stopper has agreed a two-year extension at a club she believes is the perfect place to aid her development.
“It’s an exciting time for the Club and I’m glad to be part of it,” she said.
“I love being here and I have plenty of friends here, which makes a lot of difference. For me, it was a no-brainer.”
Roebuck follows in the footsteps of her City and England colleague, Bardsley, who has recently committed her future to the Club and though competing for the same spot in the team, the 19-year-old admits the pair a great relationship.
“The experience KB has had and the things she teaches me have been invaluable,” she added.
“I’ve learned so much from her already and I hope to do the same over the next two years.
“Our relationship is never in question. We have such a good relationship on and off the pitch and whoever is playing earns respect, no matter what.”
