Kevin De Bruyne said he could hardly believe Manchester City’s achievements after their FA Cup final triumph.
City’s win against Watford means Pep Guardiola‘s side have won all four major pieces of domestic silverware this season - a feat that has never been achieved before.
“You can’t dream about this at the beginning of the year.” said De Bruyne. “You just want to do as well as possible.”
“To end up here and win the treble and the Community Shield is fantastic, and something you have to appreciate because it doesn’t happen a lot.”

The Manchester City midfielder - who has had to deal with injuries this season - was substituted onto the pitch in the 55th minute, and just over five minutes later scored City’s third of the game. With De Bruyne on the field, we went on to score another three goals, winning the game 6-0, a record for an FA Cup final at the current Wembley stadium.
“To play against Brighton and especially today, to have an impact and to show everybody that I’m still the same player and that I just need a good rest in the summer.
“Hopefully next year I’ll be back in top form.
“It’s not always about being better it’s about trying to be consistent.
“It’s about how you win the games, not by how many.”
