Pep Guardiola hailed Sergio Aguero’s ‘exceptional’ talent, ahead of City’s eagerly-awaited Premier League trip to Liverpool.
The Champions travel to Anfield on Sunday, looking to close the gap on the current league leaders at a ground we last emerged victorious from 16 years ago.
Aguero, City’s record goalscorer, heads into the game in fine form with 13 goals already this season.

Asked whether the Argentine had altered his game or preparations to achieve improved results, Guardiola credited his striker’s natural gift.
“He was born scoring goals; he will die scoring goals,” he stated. “It’s his talent in that position.
“We have an incredible two strikers with quite similar minutes playing together. He is an exceptional player.
“I don’t have any complaints about Sergio - with or without Gabriel Jesus. It has always been good behaviour from Sergio. He has different quality from Gabriel but I am so delighted.”
With Raheem Sterling set to face his former employers on his old stomping ground, having netted his first goal against the Reds in August’s Community Shield triumph, Guardiola also added he feels the forward will shine if those around him produce their best.
“If we are able to play well as a team, he will increase his performance,” he continued.
“Without the help of the team, it doesn’t work. Be a team and after, it will increase.”
