Pep Guardiola says Gabriel Jesus is the perfect replacement for the injured Sergio Aguero and that the club are lucky to have two world class strikers.

Pep praise for Jesus and Aguero

The City boss has been sharing his admiration of his two main strikers.

With Sergio likely to miss the next few games, Jesus will step in, but Pep says he is impressed by both for their humbleness and dedication.

“It’s so difficult to find a player, a human being – who has such incredible achievement like Sergio and be humble like he is,” said Pep.

“When one player achieves the amount he has achieved at City, you can think something you aren’t, but Sergio is most humble guy I have met.

“Some players think they are incredible and be a lot less than Sergio.

“It is tough for Jesus, but he is also so humble and accepts situation. It is not news when a player is not happy when he doesn’t play.

“Sergio is the same. I understand that, but the important thing is training. Never fail one session in training,

“Sergio plays a bit more than Gabriel this season, but I try to play both. They have incredible quality and I try to play both.

“Sometimes we need both on pitch - but we will miss Sergio; we have had some problems with injuries, but we will wait for him and meanwhile we have Gabriel and Sterling who can play in that position.

“We will have to live without him for a while.”
